A Sparklist is our name for a video, lesson, experiment, simulation, product or after school program that can help you ignite Minds-On thinking.
We are picky! There is no shortage of educational materials on the internet today, but few of them qualify as a Spark. Sparks help kids practice Minds-On thinking or expose them to big ideas that are important to the the world. Sparks don't require professional development or hours of preparation. Most sparks can be explored in the classroom or at the dinnertable in 15- 60 minutes.
Sparks can often be enjoyed by students across a wide range of age and ability, which makes them especially great for mixed-ability classrooms, families at the dinner table and home schoolers. Sparks help teachers and parents extend learning by providing inspiration and putting wow and wonder back into learning.
