Curiosity Hacked is a parent designed program out of Oakland, CA that helps kids learn to be MAKERS. Projects combine creativity with technical skills and rely heavily on community experts to share their passions and knowledge. Curiosity Hacked offers drop in Open Lab programs where kids can work on a set project or, for those more consistently committed, the weekly Guild program allows kids to master a broad range of skills: electronics, mechanical, programming, art and textiles and progress through a badge system. Ultimately the goal is to move kids beyond the pre-packed offerings and encourage them to use the skills they have developed to create self directed projects driven by their own skills and interest. Ambitious and totally Minds-On!
