Showing What Can't Easily Be Seen
WHAT'S TO LOVE
In Biology, Chemistry and Physics there are so many tiny interactions and processes that cannot be seen with the eye. This can make concepts hard to grasp for students. The Molecular Workbench Next Gen Simulations and Activities model molecular interactions by way of interactive simulations that let students modify temperature, pressure, amount of reagent, shapes of protein and host of other factors so they can literally see what happens. So very helpful when static images just don't cut it.
The Molecular Workbench site is full of old simulations which are hard to load and unhelpful. Make sure you stick to the Next Gen series which includes basic simulations for many routine topics covered in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as well as actual Activities which combine simulations with thought provoking questions that actually test understanding not memorization.
